Brand designed by usOperating system for a 30-room residential specialist school for autistic children, covering roughly 115 staff across education, residential life, medical and support departments.
The challenge
The school is licensed by two ministries, and every child has a dedicated shadow teacher, so records belong to a child and staff pair rather than to a department. Standard ERP HR and education modules assume the opposite.
How we handled it
We chose ERPNext over Odoo for its genuinely open-source licence, kept every customisation in one custom Frappe app, self-hosted in Cairo to match the regulators' jurisdiction, and cut version 1 to English only, no payments, no data migration and responsive web only, to protect the go-live date.
