A studio ofengineers whodesign.
[ 01 ] Who we are
AppBlender is a software studio in Cairo. We've delivered 60+ projects for founders and companies in more than 10 countries, including marketplaces, ERPs, SaaS platforms and AI systems, and many of those clients still work with us today.
[ 02 ] How we work
Engineers on the call
You talk to the people designing and writing your product, from the first call onwards.
Working software every week
A demo you can click every week, not slide decks or status reports.
You own everything
Code, designs, accounts and infrastructure are yours. No lock-in, no hostage repositories.
We stay after launch
The team that built it keeps it running and keeps improving it.
One studio. Clients on five continents.
Cairo Governorate 11728
[ 04 ] What we do
Five practice areas. Most engagements draw on more than one.
AI systems
Document processing and extraction across Arabic and English, retrieval over existing document collections, and automation agents that work across internal tools. The AI layer is independent of where the model runs, so the same pipeline deploys against a commercial API, a private cloud tenant or a model on your own hardware.
Enterprise platform engineering
Multi-portal systems where customers, operators, administrators and suppliers each need their own view of the same operation, with role-based access, workflow automation and the reporting layer above them.
ERP implementation and extension
ERPNext and Frappe implementations, extended with custom applications where standard modules don't fit the operation. Customisation stays in one owned application rather than scattered across the core, so you keep a clean upgrade path.
Systems integration
ERP platforms, custom applications, ecommerce and third-party services connected into one operation. Most of this work is deciding which system owns which record before any code is written.
Application development
Mobile and web applications, ecommerce platforms and the design systems behind them. Bilingual and right-to-left interfaces are built in as a requirement, not added later as a translation layer.
[ 05 ] How we deliver
Five stages. Each one ends with something you can review, approve or reject.
01Scope
We work through the operation before the software: who does what today, where the process breaks and which parts are worth building. Scope is agreed in writing before development starts.
Ends withA written scope document and a delivery plan.
02Design
Screens and flows are designed and reviewed before any interface is built. For bilingual systems, the Arabic and English layouts are designed together rather than one adapted from the other.
Ends withAn approved design set.
03Build
Development runs in iterations against the agreed scope. Working software is deployed to a staging environment throughout, so you see the system as it is built rather than at the end.
Ends withA feature-complete build on staging.
04Approval
You test the system against written acceptance criteria, on your own data where possible. Defects are logged, prioritised and resolved before release.
Ends withWritten sign-off against the acceptance criteria.
05Launch
Production deployment, documentation and a knowledge transfer session with your team. The engineers who built the system stay with it through the stabilisation period that follows.
Ends withYou holding the source code, repositories and documentation.
What every engagement includes
- Source code, repositories, design files, migrations and documentation transferred to you.
- Separate staging and production environments from the start of the build.
- A documented handover and a live knowledge transfer session with your team.
- The same engineers through launch and stabilisation.
[ 06 ] Research and development
We build ahead of client demand.
Capability we haven't yet used on a client engagement is developed here first, at our cost. Three current internal builds:
Self-hosted AI automation
A multi-agent automation system running entirely on our own infrastructure, coordinating several models across internal tools and workflows. It is where we test self-hosted model serving, agent orchestration and retrieval architecture before they reach client work.
Engineering calculation platform
A browser-based system that automates low-voltage electrical design calculations, built with a domain expert as co-developer for engineering practice in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. It tests how far a regulated technical discipline can be encoded into software.
Architectural model pipeline
An automated pipeline that turns Revit architectural models into interactive 3D builds, handling geometry import, materials, collision, camera paths and packaging without manual work.
